Elijah Craig Small Batch is a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 46% in a 750ml bottle. It was created to take the place of the discontinued 12 Year Old expression, after demand put pressure on the stocks of 12 year old bourbon.
The core of the whisky is cooked apple with honey.
The nose offers honeycomb, fresh cedar, marmalade and spicy cardamom seed. Baked apples with cinnamon lead the palate, followed by fresh honey and cookie dough, and the finish is lingering nutmeg and charred oak.
