Elijah Craig Small Batch is a Kentucky straight bourbon in a 70cl bottle at 47% ABV, matured in American oak. It carries the name of Elijah Craig, a bourbon pioneer credited as the first distiller to age whiskey in charred oak barrels.
The master distillers hand-select the barrels that go into each batch, a practice that predates the term small batch itself. The aim is a balance of rich flavour and full body.
It is typically described as having warm spice and a subtle smoke character.
