Elijah Craig Straight Rye Whiskey is the Kentucky brand's first rye. It is made from a rye mash bill, aged in charred oak barrels and bottled at 94 proof (47%) in a 750ml bottle.
It is described as bold but approachable, with classic rye spice, and it works neat or in cocktails.
On the nose it shows baking spice, toasted oak, vanilla and light citrus. The palate brings balanced rye spice, caramel, pepper and subtle sweetness, and the finish is warming, with lingering spice and gentle oak.
