Evan Williams Kentucky Straight Bourbon is named after Evan Williams, who opened Kentucky's first distillery on the banks of the Ohio River in 1783. It comes in a 1.75L bottle at 43%, medium amber in colour.
Heaven Hill matures it for a few years longer than the law requires. Corn and oak are at the front, with mint running around the edges.
The nose is light, with deep vanilla and mint. The palate offers oak, brown sugar and caramel, and the finish runs medium to long.
