A 12 year old Linkwood single malt bottled at 58.7%, released as Chapter 2, 'Folk', in Fable Whisky's series of single cask whiskies. Linkwood stands on the edge of Elgin, in Speyside.
Fable builds its brand on storytelling, and each label carries illustrations of characters and scenes from its chapter. This one tells the story of the Ghost Piper of Clanyard Bay.
The nose is barley sugar with apple and banana, then apricot, peach and lemon zest. The palate is sweet and soft, with plenty of fruit and citrus, and the finish brings green grapes, kiwi and cinnamon.
