Fable Whisky Chapter 5 Hound Mannochmore 13 Year Old (70cl, 59.3%)

Chapter 5 Hound is a 13 year old single malt from Mannochmore in Speyside, bottled at 59.3% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in a refill hogshead and bottled as a single cask for Fable Whisky. Mannochmore was built in 1971 on the same site as Glenlossie. Little of its whisky is bottled by the distillery itself, so independent bottlings are a main way to taste it as a single malt. The nose is vanilla, malty sweetness and baked apples. The palate brings creme brulee, apples, nutmeg and butterscotch. The finish is round, with full butterscotch flavour and a slight dryness at the end.
