Fettercairn – 12 Year Old (70cl, 40%)

Fettercairn 12 Year Old is a Highland single malt matured in ex-bourbon barrels of American white oak. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle, chill-filtered and with added colouring. The bottle recalls the distillery's cooling ring, which has run water over the outside of the stills since the mid-1950s: the ring on the neck and the grooves on the shoulder echo it. The unicorn in the emblem comes from the Ramsay clan. The nose combines pear and vanilla with soft spice. On the palate come nectarine and tropical fruit with roasted coffee, cloves and ginger, and the finish brings sultanas, roasted coffee and dark toffee.
