This is a 12 year old Highland single malt from Fettercairn, matured in ex-bourbon casks and bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It reflects a refreshed approach that focuses on the distillery's fruity character, with tropical flavour alongside a weight and gentle gingery spice.
The nose has candied lemon and pineapple, butter icing and a hint of mint, with a touch of meatiness at the back. Vanilla, milk chocolate and orchard fruit develop. The palate is soft and rounded, with gentle spice, milk chocolate and sweet cream, then fresh pineapple, cinnamon, candied ginger, nutmeg and a touch of creamy coffee. The finish leaves menthol and crunchy apples after vanilla cream, chocolate and coffee.
