Fettercairn – 12 Year Old (70cl)

This is a 12 year old single malt from Fettercairn, in a 70cl bottle. The distillery was established in 1824 by Sir Alexander Ramsay and stands in the foothills of the Cairngorms. Water is run over the stills to cool the copper, so that only the finest vapours rise. In the glass it is the colour of amber honey in sunlight. The nose offers vanilla and pear with soft spices. The palate is refreshing, with nectarine, tropical fruit, subtle roasted coffee, cloves and ginger. The finish carries hints of sultanas and black toffee.
