This is a 16 year old Highland single malt from Fettercairn, and the fourth release in a limited series. It was matured in a combination of ex-bourbon casks and ex-port barrels.
The nose is warm and tropical, with ripe berry fruits, delicate florals and soft hints of chocolate. On the palate come plum, freshly baked ginger cake and dark cherries, held in check by aged oak spice.
The finish is long, with blackberries, raspberries, vanilla and caramel.
