This is a Fettercairn single malt bottled by WM Cadenhead, distilled in 2007 and aged 13 years. It was matured in a mix of casks: 80% bourbon and 20% ruby port.
It is described as sweet, with earthy notes that give real depth. The nose is earthy and musty, with toffee and black jack sweets. The palate brings custard cream biscuits, flat cola, green tomatoes and buttered candies, with a creamy texture.
The finish is slightly spicy, with liquorice, butterscotch, dried spices and cardamom.
