Fettercairn 18 Years is part of the distillery's core range. It was matured in ex-bourbon casks of American white oak, then finished in casks made from 100% Scottish oak, a project the distillery has worked on for some time. It is bottled at 46.8% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is spicy, with oak, vanilla and apple pie. The palate is sweet and fruity, with spice, chocolate and damp wood. The finish is complex, led by wood and honey.
