Fettercairn – 22 Year Old (70cl, 47%)

This is a 22-year-old Highland single malt, bottled by the distillery at 47% in a 70cl bottle. It was released as part of Fettercairn's 2018 relaunch. The whisky was matured in bourbon casks and is fruity, with well-balanced vanilla, caramel and peppery spice. The colour is amber gold. On the palate there are banana, citrus fruit and plum with raisin, fig and gingerbread. The finish brings spiced pear, caramelised orange and coffee, tempered by liquorice, then morello cherry, plum and treacle.
