This is a 27-year-old single malt from Fettercairn, a distillery in the eastern Highlands of Scotland. It was distilled in 1995 and is the Whisky Sponge Edition 75, bottled at 61.3% ABV.
The nose brings ripe fruit, honey, caramel and toasted oak, with a light touch of vanilla and spice. On the palate there is dark chocolate, roasted coffee, dried fruit and tobacco. The finish is long, leaving candied fruit, spiced oak and a sweet note.
