Fighting Cock is a Kentucky straight bourbon aged for six years and bottled at 103 proof. It is a Heaven Hill brand, first released as an 8 year old at 101 proof.
The nose is spiced, with creamy fresh vanilla, a little stewed fruit, melted butter and oak. Molasses, Demerara sugar and cereal sweetness open the palate, turning rich with butterscotch and cedar. The finish brings cinnamon pastries and golden syrup.
