Filey Bay First Release (70cl, 46%)

Filey Bay First Release is the first single malt from a distillery in Hunmanby, on the Yorkshire Coast, and the first single malt made in Yorkshire. It follows more than eight years of planning and over three years of whisky-making. It combines pot and column distillates, matured mainly in first fill bourbon casks with a light sherry influence. Sixteen casks, filled in the spring and summer of 2016, were married at the distillery to give 6,000 bottles. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, uncoloured and non-chill-filtered. The flavour is creamy, light and fruity, with vanilla, honey, citrus and caramel.
