Filey Bay Flagship is an English single malt from Spirits of Yorkshire, a distillery founded in 2016. It is bottled at 46% ABV.
It is made from locally grown barley, and distilled, matured and bottled on site. Maturation is mainly in first-fill bourbon casks.
The nose is fresh and fruity, with peaches and apricots, mint leaves and buttery crackers. The palate brings chocolate chip biscuits, maple syrup, barley, peaches, apricots and nuts, with a hint of honeycomb. The finish is fairly floral, with gingerbread and orange peel.
