Filey Bay Flagship Yorkshire Single Malt Whisky (70cl, 46%)

Filey Bay Flagship is an English single malt from the Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery in Hunmanby, North Yorkshire. It is bottled at 46% in a 700ml bottle and is the distillery's permanent core release. The barley is all homegrown and regeneratively farmed, and the whisky is matured in ex-bourbon casks. It is bottled non-chill-filtered and at natural colour. Distillation began in 2016, in a mix of copper pot stills and a copper column still. The tasting notes describe a light, creamy and fruity whisky, with citrus and honey over vanilla and caramel from the bourbon casks. It is silky on the palate with a gentle lift of oak spice, and the finish carries a toffee-apple note.
