Findlater's Royal Prestige is a 25 year old Scotch whisky, bottled by Findlater Mackie Todd & Co Ltd at 43% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is complex, with sherry, dried figs, raisins and polished wood, along with caramel, orange peel, vanilla and underripe pears. The palate is ripe, robust and very malty, with a faint trace of smoke, becoming velvety with dark chocolate, toasted almonds, cloves and a hint of leather.
The finish is medium to long, recalling soft-caramel chocolates, followed by bitter coffee beans and a lingering smokiness.
