Florio Donna Franca Marsala Superiore Riserva DOP (50cl)

Donna Franca is a Marsala Superiore Riserva from Cantine Florio, a Sicilian house founded in Marsala in 1833. It comes in a 50cl bottle. The wine is a blend of several Marsalas, each matured separately for between 15 and 30 years and chosen after a careful review of the vintages held in the Florio cellars. It suits slow sipping, and also works alongside dessert or as an aperitif. The nose is broad and complex, with peaches in syrup and dates alongside spice. The palate is full, warm and velvety, and the long finish carries candied fruit and caramel.
