Forest Distillery – Whisky Blend Twenty-Six (70cl, 47%)

This is the 26th edition of blended whisky from Forest Distillery in England, bottled at 47% in a 70cl size. It is made up of whiskies over 8 years old, finished in Oloroso sherry casks. The blend shifts slightly with each edition, with toffee and caramel at its core alongside juicy, ripe fruit. The spirit is distilled from Cheshire barley and oats, using the distillery's own spring water and wild yeast. It is matured in oak beneath the distillery, which stands at 1689 feet, and then rested in new English oak casks. It comes in a polished black porcelain bottle with a papercut by the artist Georgia Low, glazed with real gold.
