Forty Creek Barrel Select (75cl, 40%)

Forty Creek Barrel Select is a blended Canadian whisky from the Forty Creek Distillery in Grimsby, Ontario, bottled at 40% ABV in a 750ml bottle. Rye, barley and corn are each fermented, distilled and aged separately for six to ten years in toasted and charred white oak casks. After blending, the whisky spends six months in vintage sherry casks. The nose brings warm honey, vanilla, ripe apricot and toasted oak, with black walnut and baking spice beneath. The palate is soft and silky, moving from honeyed sweetness to cocoa, rye spice and toasted earthiness, with nutty notes from the sherry finish. The finish is medium to long and smooth, with soft vanilla and a little dried fruit.
