Fratelli Branca Fernet-Branca

Fernet-Branca is a bitter Italian amaro from Fratelli Branca of Milan, created in 1845 and still made to the same recipe handed down through the Branca family. It is built on 27 herbs and spices from four continents, then aged for at least a year in oak barrels, which gives a light brown colour with amber hues. The nose is intense and penetrating, herbal with a cooling lift. The palate is complex, bitter yet balanced, with almost no sugar and clear notes of mint, ginger, rhubarb and chamomile. The finish is long and firm, with a lingering bitter snap.
