Fratelli Branca Fernet-Branca (37.5cl)

Fernet-Branca is a bitter Italian herbal liqueur made in Milan by Fratelli Branca, in a 37.5cl bottle. It was first created in 1845 and is still made to a closely guarded family recipe. The recipe uses 27 herbs and spices from four continents, including aloe, rhubarb, gentian, galingale and chamomile. It is aged for at least a year in oak barrels, giving a light brown colour with amber tones. The nose is intense and herbal. The palate is firmly bitter, with mint, ginger, rhubarb and chamomile and almost no sugar, and the finish is long, dry and herbal. It is served as a digestif or added to a Manhattan or Negroni.
