Fuji Single Grain Japanese Whisky (70cl)

A Japanese single grain whisky made at Fuji Gotemba distillery, which was founded in 1970 at the foot of Mount Fuji. It comes in a 70cl bottle and is a blend of three grain whiskies: a light type from column stills, a medium type from a batch kettle still and an intense type from a double still. Jota Tanaka, master blender at Kirin, set out to balance light, cereal notes with rich, intense aromas. Floral notes on the nose sit with pear pie, candied chestnut and orange peel. In the mouth there are poached pears, apple compote, dark chocolate, cinnamon and toasted rye bread. It finishes softly with tannins and incense.
