Fuji 50th Anniversary Single Malt Japanese Whisky Cask Strength (52%)

Fuji 50th Anniversary Single Malt is a Japanese whisky from Fuji Gotemba Distillery at the foot of Mount Fuji, marking 50 years of production since 1973. It is bottled at cask strength, 52% ABV, and is non-chill filtered. The malt whiskies come from every decade of the distillery's history, with components from about 12 to 50 years old, including spirit from the first year of distillation. They matured in ex-bourbon casks, Oloroso sherry casks, French oak wine casks and other specialty barrels. Around 3,000 bottles were released. The nose offers lychee, mango syrup, dried flowers, vanilla cream and gentle spice. The palate is rich, with apricot, caramel, malt, white pepper and baked apple. The finish is long and creamy, with toffee apple, oak and lingering sweetness.
