Fuji Single Grain Japanese Whisky (70cl, 46%)

Fuji Single Grain is a Japanese single grain whisky from Kirin's Fuji Gotemba Distillery in Shizuoka, bottled at 46% ABV with no age statement. The distillery was founded in 1973 as a Kirin and Seagram venture at the foot of Mount Fuji, and it runs separate production lines in the style of Scotch, bourbon and Canadian grain whisky. Master Blender Jota Tanaka combines all three styles in this bottling. The nose offers orchard fruit, vanilla and soft florals. The palate is creamy, with caramel, marmalade and a gentle lift of rye spice, and the finish brings toasted oak and a hint of incense.
