Fuji World Blend is a Japanese blended whisky, bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It combines whisky distilled at Kirin's Mt. Fuji Distillery with whiskies from around the world, and carries no age statement.
It comes from the Fuji Gotemba Distillery in Shizuoka, which was established in 1973 as a joint venture between Kirin and Seagram and is now wholly owned by Kirin. The blend is by Master Blender Jota Tanaka.
On the nose there is vanilla bean, crème brûlée, dried fig, apricot and a hint of anise. The palate is mellow and creamy with rye spice, and the finish is moderately woody with a little peat and dried-fruit notes.
