Fuji Single Grain Japanese Whisky (70cl)

A Japanese single grain whisky from Fuji Gotemba distillery, founded in 1970 at the foot of Mount Fuji, in a 70cl bottle. It is a blend of three grain whiskies: a light one distilled in column stills, a medium one from a batch kettle still and an intense one from a double still. Kirin's master blender, Jota Tanaka, aimed for a balance between light, cereal notes and rich, intense aromas. The nose is floral, with pear pie, candied chestnut and orange peel. The palate brings poached pears, apple compote, dark chocolate, cinnamon and toasted rye bread. The finish fades gently, leaving tannins and incense.
