Fuji Single Grain is a Japanese single grain whisky from the Fuji Gotemba Distillery, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle and non-chill filtered.
It is a blend of three styles made at the distillery: a bourbon-type with a rich, fruity taste, a Canadian-type with a soft mouthfeel and deep fruity flavour, and a Scotch-type that is light and envelops the mouth.
The nose is slightly sweet, with aged barrels, white grapes, orange peel and a hint of cinnamon and liquorice. The palate is soft, with pear and apple compote, marmalade, raspberry jam and bitter chocolate, and the finish is lingering.
