Furthur 3 Year Old is a straight bourbon blending 3 and 5 year old high rye bourbon distilled at MGP in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. The mash bill is 60% corn, 36% rye and 4% barley, and the whisky was aged in new charred American oak barrels of 53 gallons before bottling in Kentucky at 101 proof. It is non-chill filtered.
The nose brings honeyed vanilla, baked apple, almond toffee, mint, clove and cinnamon candies. Vanilla and caramel lead the palate alongside baked peach and apple, and the finish lets the sweeter flavours outlast the spice.
