This is a 13 year old Tennessee whiskey from George Dickel, released as a Bottled in Bond expression from whisky distilled in the fall of 2008.
It is a bold, balanced whiskey in which fruit and nut character leads. It can be taken neat or over ice, and it also works in classic cocktails such as a Perfect Manhattan.
The nose is bright fresh cherry with cedar and almond. The palate is sweet and hot, with caramel, and the finish is long, with structured oak.
