It is uncut and unfiltered, and it ages for nearly a decade. The name honours George T. Stagg, who built the most dominant American distillery of the 19th century during what is known as the Gilded Age of Bourbon. The palate shows toffee sweetness and dark chocolate, with vanilla, fudge, nougat and molasses. Dates, tobacco, dark berries, spearmint and a little coffee sit underneath.
