Giant Texas Straight Bourbon 95 Proof is a bourbon from Giant Texas Distillers in Houston, bottled at 47.5% in a 75cl bottle. It is made in small batches from Texas grains: 75% corn, 21% rye and 4% malted barley, distilled in a copper pot still and matured in new American oak.
The nose offers vanilla, caramel, butterscotch, sweet fruit and rye spice, with toasted wood in the background. On the palate it is sweet and rounded, with oak, toasted caramel, ripe fruit and baking spices, and the rye balances the corn. The finish is medium to long, with spice, dried fruit, pepper and a trace of caramel.
