Giant Texas Straight Rye 100 Proof (75cl, 50%)

Giant Texas Straight Rye is a rye whiskey from Giant Texas Distillers in Houston, bottled at 50% (100 proof) in a 75cl bottle. It is made from Texas grains, with a mash bill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley, and matured for at least two years in casks. The nose combines vanilla, caramel, butterscotch, molasses and brown sugar, with hints of almond, dark chocolate and spice. The palate is powerful and spicy, with black pepper, clove, baking spices and herbs, sweetened by caramel and brown sugar, with touches of mint and dark chocolate. The finish is long and warm, with spiced caramel, toasted oak and lingering pepper.
