Glasgow 1770 10 Year Old is the first peated ten-year-old from the Glasgow Distillery, a Lowlands single malt bottled at 54% ABV. The peated spirit is made there for only five months of each year.
Three ex-bourbon casks went into this release: two refill casks and one first-fill cask. All were filled in July 2016, vatted in March 2026 and left to mature further until bottling in August 2026.
The nose combines gentle campfire smoke, vanilla and honey with grilled pineapple, satsuma and green apple. The palate is soft and oily, with vanilla ice cream, honeycomb, candied pineapple, lemon peel and floral smoke. The finish is long and warming, with smoky honey, heather honey and a little wood spice.
