Glasgow 1770 2018/2025 6 Year Old Ruby Port Cask Finish (70cl, 55%)

This is a six-year-old Lowland single malt from Glasgow Distillery, distilled on 6 October 2018 and bottled on 23 June 2025 at a cask strength of 55% ABV. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The whisky matured in first-fill bourbon barrels before a finish in ruby port hogsheads. The port adds red fruit and dark cherries, while the bourbon wood contributes vanilla and a light sweetness. Four casks were vatted for this release, which yielded 1,200 bottles. In the tasting notes, the nose has strawberries, vanilla, raspberries and milk chocolate with light eucalyptus and pine. The palate brings summer fruit, dark cherries, cream, marzipan and sweet almonds. The finish is long and fruity, with pink pepper and oak tannins.
