A seven-year-old unpeated Lowland single malt from the Glasgow Distillery, released as Batch 2 of the Glasgow 1770 Ruby Port Cask Finish. It was distilled in 2018 and bottled at 54% ABV in a 70cl bottle, without chill-filtering or added colour.
The whisky matured for 3 years and 10 months in first-fill bourbon barrels, then spent 3 years and 11 months finishing in Ruby Port hogsheads.
The nose is fresh strawberries and vanilla, with raspberries dipped in milk chocolate and a touch of eucalyptus and pine. The palate brings summer fruits, dark cherries, cream and marzipan. The finish is long, with pink peppercorn spice and oak tannins.
