Medium sherry hogshead
A lightly peated single malt from the Glasgow Distillery, distilled in 2019 and bottled in 2026 at 55% ABV. It is the first batch of this sherry cask release, limited to 1,600 bottles, and is natural colour and non-chill-filtered. It combines equal parts peated and unpeated spirit, both double distilled. Each spent time in first-fill ex-bourbon casks before further maturation in sherry hogsheads: Pedro Ximénez for the unpeated part, medium sherry for the peated part. The nose offers polished oak, cedar, clementine, orange, toffee apple and vanilla cream over soft sweet smoke. The palate moves from sweet peat to raisins, dark fruit and orange peel. The finish is soft and dry, with oak spice, orange oil and a trace of salt and smoke.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
