Glasgow 1770 7 2018/2026 - Ruby Port Cask Finish (Batch 2) (54%)

This is the second batch of Glasgow 1770 Ruby Port Cask Finish, a seven year old unpeated single malt distilled in 2018 and bottled in 2026 at 54% ABV. It is a vatting of four hogsheads, limited to 1,200 bottles, and is non-chill-filtered and natural colour. The whisky spent its first three and a half years in first-fill ex-bourbon casks, then almost four more years in Ruby Port casks. The nose offers ripe summer berries, dark cherries, vanilla, marzipan and sweet almonds. The palate is full and fruity, with stewed berries, juicy cherries and creamy vanilla, and a long finish of dark fruit, vanilla and sweet almonds.
