Glen Breton 14 Year is a Canadian single malt whisky from Glenora Distillers on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, bottled at 43% ABV in a 75cl bottle. The distillery was founded in 1989 and uses pot still distillation in the Scottish style.
Its warehouses are unheated, so maturation virtually halts through the harsh Nova Scotia winters.
The nose opens with wild apple and heather, then honey, maple, floral notes, mango and sweetened coconut. The palate is malty and fresh, with vanilla, chocolate, apple, apricot, cinnamon, nutmeg and a little black pepper. The finish is medium in length, with oak, cedarwood, nuts and berries.
