Glen Breton 15 Year Old Battle of the Glen is a Canadian single malt whisky bottled at 43% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is distilled from malted barley at Glenora Distillery in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, and matured for fifteen years in American white oak.
The expression won a Gold Medal and 93 points at the 2011 International Review of Spirits in Chicago.
The nose offers fresh applewood, honey and a little hardwood smoke. The palate is malty and full-bodied, with cereal grain, ripe apple and pear, then vanilla and baking spice. The finish is smooth and lasting, with a gentle peat note, toasted oak and dried fruit.
