This is a 16 year old Highland single malt from Glen Deveron, part of the Royal Burgh Collection and a travel exclusive. It is bottled at 40% ABV in a 1 litre bottle.
It comes from Macduff, a seaside distillery in the fishing port of the same name on the River Deveron, beside the Moray Firth. The spirit was made in copper pot stills and matured in oak casks.
Orchard fruits lead the nose, followed by golden barley. On the palate come chewy cereal and green apple with a subtle hint of peat smoke, and the finish is lasting, oaky and peaty.
