Glen Deveron 20 Years Old is a Highland single malt from Macduff Distillery on the north-east coast of the Highlands. The brand is named after the River Deveron and this bottling belongs to the Royal Burgh Collection. It is bottled at 40% ABV in a 1 litre bottle.
The whisky matures for 20 years in American oak that previously held bourbon and European oak that previously held sherry.
The nose brings honey, apricot, ripe peach and caramelised pear with vanilla, raisins, nuts and milk chocolate. The palate is creamy, with caramel, flower honey, candied orange, toasted almonds and cocoa. The finish is long and silky, with vanilla, ripe fruit, chocolate and sweet spice.
