This is a ten-year-old Glen Elgin from Speyside, distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2023 by Berry Bros & Rudd for its Small Batch range. It matured in hogsheads and was bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, without chill-filtering or added colour. The outturn was 851 bottles.
The nose offers ripe pear and green apple with a little honey and fine spice. The palate is soft and balanced, with vanilla, oak and gentle spice, and the finish is long and warming, with a touch of malty sweetness and light dryness.
