Glen Elgin – 10 Year Old Berry Bros and Rudd (70cl, 58.9%)

This is a 10 year old Glen Elgin single malt from Speyside, selected, matured and bottled by Berry Bros and Rudd. It was distilled in 2007 and bottled in 2018 at 58.9%, without chill-filtering or added colour, in a 70cl bottle. The nose is thick with fruit salad chews, melon syrup and strawberry jelly. The mouth-feel is viscous, balanced by a gentle spirit character, with rosewater, orange zest, banana and the marmalade notes associated with Glen Elgin. The finish brings a surprising glimpse of peat, along with more orange and mouth-watering lime.
