Glen Elgin 12 Years Old is a Speyside single malt in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV. The distillery still uses worm tubs, an old-fashioned method of condensing the spirit that is now rarely found.
In the glass it is amber with an orange glow. The nose is sweet, with almonds and marzipan, orange juice, grain, bourbon and cut wood. The palate is soft, full and sweet, turning slightly dry, and the finish is dry and well balanced.
