Glen Elgin 12 Years Old is a Speyside single malt from the Glen Elgin distillery, matured for at least 12 years in American oak barrels that previously held bourbon. The distillery was founded in 1898 and designed by Charles Doig of Elgin. Its malt has long gone into the White Horse blend.
The nose is honeyed with a little malt. The palate opens sweet and turns fruity, and the finish carries orange blossom.
