The whisky matured in a first fill bourbon barrel, number 800662, and has an oily texture with a peppery spice. The nose has honey-coated fruit, ripe yellow apple and fresh apricot, with a little lemon and a hint of pineapple, plus buttered vanilla cake, slightly dusty wood and a touch of mint.
