This Glen Elgin is a single cask malt from Speyside, distilled in April 2009 and bottled in December 2023 at 14 years old. It was matured in a barrel and is bottled at 42.1% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and with no added colouring.
The nose is rich with rum chocolate and rum-pot fruit, juicy raisins, warm peach, soft yellow pears, dried pineapple, beeswax and cranberry fruit tea. On the palate it is soft and light, with gentle sweetness, yellow fruit and fine rum notes against dry oak. The finish is fairly short and lightly dry, with a little salt on the tongue.
